Lisa Tolmie, Dental Hygienist Lisa joined our team in 1999 and is currently our senior hygienist. She graduated from Seneca College with high honors in the hygiene program in 1994, after having started her dental career in 1990 when she graduated from the dental assisting program at Algonquin College. Lisa relishes the opportunity to improve her knowledge base and skills and is constantly attending continuing education courses. Her abilities are second to none and she has specialized training in the use of the laser to treat gum disease, orthodontics, and neuromuscular treatments. Lisa is very social and loves going out with friends to concerts, restaurants and on traveling adventures. Even though Lisa is not the most athletic, she hacks away at golf balls, enjoys a great game of baseball and sweats it out in the gym on a regular basis. Lisa loves being a hygienist and is very enthusiastic about her dental career. You can often hear her singing and laughing somewhere in the office.
Sherry Coulthart, Dental Hygienist Sherry joined our team and the dental field in 2003 as a dental assistant. She received her assisting diploma from Algonquin College, and then returned to Canadore College to obtain her dental hygiene diploma. Sherry is also certified to perform laser therapy to treat gum disease and periodontal disease. Sherry is one of the nicest, most caring people you will meet.This lends itself beautifully to the field of dentistry, as she is excellent at helping patients feel at ease. She is very thorough and pays close attention to details, so you can expect the best from her when you see her. Sherry is married with a beautiful daughter, and in her free time she enjoys running and cooking. Sherry also has a real soft spot for dogs, especially her dog Meadow.
Janice Weizenbach, Dental Hygienist Janice is a dental hygienist who graduated from Algonquin College in 2000. She has been with us since the fall of 2000. Janice is one of the most calm, even keeled people you will meet. She is very knowledgeable in the field of dentistry. She works very well with all personalities, so she is an awesome team player. She is there to support you with whatever you need. Janice is also very savvy when it comes to technology and computers, so we rely on her abilities a lot with all of the equipment and technological advances we are continually adding to our office. Janice is married and keeps very busy at home with two daughters. She is very committed to her fitness regime, taking time out of her hectic schedule to teach classes at the gym.
Rebecca Ryan, Hygiene Coordinator Rebecca joined our team in 2002. She excelled and graduated from the assisting program at Career Canada College in 1999, starting out working as a dental assistant. Then she made the move to administration. Her ability to multitask and be very organized, allowed her to succeed in this area. Recently she has taken on the challenge of becoming our fabulous hygiene coordinator. Rebecca’s stunning personality, excellent organizational skills and sincere warmth make her an essential part of our team and she is always puts everyone at ease and makes them feel special. Rebecca and her new husband enjoy life in Kanata and had their first child, a beautiful baby girl, in June.
Chantelle Wright, Treatment Coordinator Chantelle is the newest member of our team, joining us in December of 2008 as one of our treatment coordinators. She has been in the dental field since 1991 when she graduated from Career Canada College as a dental assistant. Chantelle is very enthusiastic about dentistry and its opportunities. She brings a wealth of knowledge from many other areas that interest her, which compliment her work in the dental field. When a job needs to get done, Chantelle is the first to jump in, getting it done efficiently and in a timely manner. Chantelle makes the drive from Calabogie where she lives with her husband and 4 children (3 boys & 1 girl). In her spare time Chantelle enjoys walking with the family dog Bella, ATVing, reading and swimming, and skiing in the winter months.
Emily Willmer, Treatment Coordinator We have enjoyed Emily’s caring and thoughtful personality since she joined our team in 2006. She is an integral part of the team as one of our treatment coordinators. Emily graduated from Dental Assisting Level II at Algonquin College and joined The Ontario Dental Assistants Association in 2004. Since joining Dr. Peterson’s team, Emily has taken many continuing education courses and attended seminars at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental studies and the Center For Occlusal Studies in West Virginia. Emily has thrived in the role she plays on our team and always manages to make patients feel at home with her caring, courteous approach. In Emily’s spare time you can often see her running, biking, and enjoying nature. As of last year Emily and her husband have enjoyed married life along with their two playful cats, Cappuccino and Pumpkin.
